Protopapa

A fixture in Italy’s electronic music and nightlife scene, Protopapa was born in Salento, came of age in Bologna, then moved to Milan, where he still resides. A sonic sponge who absorbs tracks from all genres and puts them together to create the perfect atmosphere, he trained as a B2B DJ with friends then evolved to warming up for today’s icons like Nicolas Jaar, Tom Trago, Bottin, Planningtorock, Miss Kittin, Siriusmo and many more. Protopapa has worked for fashion brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, Frankie Morello, Marco De Vincenzo, YSL, Tommy Hilfiger, and more designing sounds for fashion shows and DJing at official Milan Fashion Week events. He’s also guested at Paris Fashion Week, DJing at Silencio and Glass Pigalle for official after-parties. In addition to his work in fashion, Protopapa also serves as a musical consultant for videos and advertising. In 2020 he co-founded FLUIDOSTUDIO, an independent label and recording studio based in Milan.
