Started DJ-ing in Hong Kong in 1994 (organizing and playing the famed “Junk Boat” parties) after experiencing the rave scene in Thailand at the infamous Koh Phan Ngan Full-Moon parties, whilst living there in 1993. Whilst being involved with sound systems - supplying International Dance parties such as ‘Renaissance’ and ‘Club for Life” coming to Hong Kong. Also touring Asia he developed a good ear for the sound and genres within. After working with the Clueless System in Cambridge, U.K. returned to New Zealand in 1997.Started ‘Nocturnal’ doing underground parties, having to DJ the whole 12 hours due to there being no other DJ’s available at that time in Franklin! Has played and organized many underground parties around the country ever since. In August 2000 returned to Thailand to play at Paradise Bungalows and Back-yard Bar in Haad Rin Beach, (Koh Phan Ngan) Full Moon party, feeling he had completed the cycle,as this for him is where it had all begun.
