Mike Mitsui

I've been a dj since I was 13 after watching Double K tear it up at the Burning Spear in Beat Street, doing school dances and proms in high school and graduating to shows featuring Chicago's top mixmasters in my teens. In addition to club work in the 80's and 90's, I also worked as a mobile dj through college. I took a hiatus for about 15 years before my love of music brought me back. As much as I love the feel of vinyl on 1200's, I've found that new technology offers new ways of playing music not possible without adaptation. House is my main love but I appreciate all forms of music no matter the style or tempo. All of my uploads are live mixes and that are typically not planned out, with many songs that I'm playing for the 1st time, so none of them are perfect. There are no edits to my mixes save for amplification for optimum sound. I hope you enjoy my mixes as much as I enjoy making them.
