Jeff Morena (Funky Filipino)

Jeff Morena, whom through his DJ years has acquired the alias, The Funky Filipino, is the music producing & remixing mastermind behind his recording label, XTC Recordings. Born in Oakland, California, Jeff Morena has become one of the most innovative & individualistic icons in the house/dance music industry today through his own music & remixes, as well as astonishing crowds through his super clean mixes & DJ set selections. Some of Jeff's remix productions include celebrity artists/performers: Manila Luzon (1st Runner Up of RuPaul's Drag Race Season 3), Jinx Monsoon (RuPaul's Drag Race Winner Season 5) & Tascha Johnson. Also in Jeff Morena's remix roster are San Francisco natives are: Gypsy Love, Kippy Marks, Drumspyder, Vahid & Parsa, Sheena Rose, and violinist/vocal duo, Fat Magic. When speaking of Jeff's most influential production, it would definitely have to be "Disco Shit", which was featured on the mix CD, and in an article of, the winter 2009 edition of Remix Magazine.
