Dakta Dub is a veteran DJ and radio host from Hyderabad whose contribution to the Indian music scene spans many years and does not rest solely on his versatile music tastes but rather on his keen ear for cultural shifts. Dakta Dub's career began in 2004 at a community radio station in Budapest, Hungary. He performed at various festivals and club nights in Europe before returning. Since his return to Hyderabad in 2008, his efforts to bring music and cultural angle is his biggest contribution to India. Monkey Radio India, online radio, and Bass Sanskriti, bass music nights he created has put Hyderabad on a global music and culture map. Dakta Dub has performed at all major music festivals in India from the likes of Sunburn, NH7, VH1 Supersonic, Magnetic Fields, Goa Sunsplash and many festivals in Europe before his return to India. In 2011, Dakta founded Monkey Radio India, a radio program that spans both local community radio stations and major internet streaming platforms.
