Launched in 2003, Ben Watt's Buzzin' Fly Records is recognised as a leading-edge independent label in the world of deep house and techno. It has fostered the emerging careers of young producer-DJs such as Justin Martin, Manoo, Spencer Parker, Stimming, Tevo Howard and Rodamaal, and has been a home to Watt's own best-selling club productions (including Lone Cat, Pop A Cap In Yo' Ass with Estelle, and Guinea Pig). Other enduring releases include Bright Star by Stimming, Ben Watt and Julia Biel, The Sad Piano (Charles Webster Remix) by Justin Martin, Insomnia (Âme Remix) by Rodamaal, Stories EP by Mano le Tough, and Lose Control by Darkmountaingroup. Best Breakthrough Label, House Music Awards, 2004. Best British Label Runner-Up, DJ Magazine Awards, 2007 & 2008. The label scaled back its activities and release schedule in 2013.
