Sofrito

Mixes and radio shows from the Sofrito family & friends. The Sofrito sessions started in East London in 2006 with DJs Hugo Mendez and Frankie Francis playing a mixture of vintage and classic percussive sounds from Africa, the Caribbean and South America on big sound systems, with MC Kwasi on the mic. All Sofrito artwork is produced by designer and illustrator Lewis Heriz. Sofrito is also a record label releasing limited 12"s & 7"s and compilation projects on Strut Records and sister label Nouvelle Ambiance. We hold sessions several times a year in London.
