My goal is to create a library of live opera performances (plus some masses, Lieder, music theatre, and an occasional symphony). Every week I post a performance from the historic La Scala recordings made in the late 1920s/early 1930s, live performances starting in the mid-1930s, to the latest world premiere. Here you can find the complete operas of Verdi, Puccini, Wagner, Strauss, Janáček, Berlioz, Britten, and many others, plus rarities reaching back to the 17th century. I try to highlight favourite singers such as Callas, Rysanek, Corelli, Sills, Kaufmann, Nilsson, Melchior, Sutherland, Schipa, Hvorostovsky, Della Casa, Flórez, Caballé, Keenlyside, and historic conductors.
